Health Guarantee Summary*(All will be in contracts)

At All American Pointers, we take great pride in the health and well-being of every puppy we raise. We guarantee that all of our puppies are in excellent health and free from any visible signs of infection, contagious, or communicable diseases at the time of adoption.

Our commitment to you and your puppy does not end when you take them home—it marks the beginning of a lasting relationship. While we strive to ensure every puppy is happy and healthy, it is important to understand that certain health factors—such as genetics, environment, nutrition, and general care—are beyond our control. Although we cannot guarantee your puppy will never develop a health issue, we pledge to take every possible measure to provide you with a strong, healthy companion.

Health at Time of Sale

We guarantee that, to the best of our knowledge, your puppy is in sound health at the time of sale and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, as documented in the health record provided to you.

To further ensure the well-being of each puppy, we will obtain a veterinary health certificate for every litter. This certificate confirms that the puppies have been examined by a licensed veterinarian and found to be in good health prior to adoption.

After the time of sale, the buyer assumes full responsibility for continued veterinary care, including routine vaccinations, boosters, deworming, and check-ups as recommended by a licensed veterinarian.

Health and Genetic Warranty

We offer the following limited warranties:

  • One-Week General Health Guarantee
If your licensed veterinarian determines that your puppy is not in good health within seven (7) days of purchase, you must notify us immediately.

  • One-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
If your puppy is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian with a hereditary or genetic disorder that significantly affects their quality of life within one (1) year of the purchase date, the following conditions must be met in order for us to evaluate the situation and provide an appropriate resolution:

  • A written report from a licensed veterinarian must clearly state the diagnosis and confirm that the condition is of genetic origin.

  • Documentation from the examining veterinarian must be submitted to us, including full contact information for verification.

  • We reserve the right to have the diagnosis reviewed and confirmed by a veterinarian of our choosing.

  • In Case of Death-
If the puppy passes away, a necropsy (animal autopsy) performed by a licensed veterinarian is required to determine the cause of death. This report must be forwarded to us before any determination regarding the situation can be made.

  • Please note: We are not responsible for any costs incurred by the buyer, including but not limited to veterinary bills, diagnostic tests, or transportation/shipping fees.

Additional Terms**

  • This health guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

  • Parasites (such as worms, coccidia, and giardia) are not covered under this guarantee. While your puppy will be dewormed prior to adoption, parasites can be contracted quickly—especially during transport. Ongoing preventative care is the responsibility of the buyer.

  • This puppy has been raised from healthy, sound parents, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to maintain proper care, nutrition, exercise, and routine veterinary visits to ensure a long, healthy life.

  • A yearly veterinary check-up is required to help ensure the ongoing health and well-being of the dog. Proof of routine care may be requested to validate any health-related claims made under this guarantee.

  • If at any point you are no longer able to keep the puppy or dog, you are required to contact us immediately. The dog/puppy must be returned to us as soon as possible, along with all original paperwork. No refund will be issued under any circumstances.
